Netivey Israel

Pelephone is one of Israel’s largest and most established telecom companies, serving millions of customers nationwide.

Field technicians responsible for antenna maintenance used a handwritten form — an outdated method that caused delays, mistakes, and poor accessibility on site.

I was tasked with creating the first digital version of the form, designed to be clear, responsive, and simple enough for on-site technicians to complete quickly and accurately.

Netivey Israel is a national infrastructure company responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining Israel’s road network.

Their public inquiry form was complex and often led users to submit inaccurate or misdirected requests.

I was tasked with redesigning the form to improve clarity and guidance, ensuring each submission reaches the correct department without confusion or unnecessary back-and-forth.

The goal and the challenges

One of the biggest challenges was simplifying a complex public inquiry form with multiple categories, conditions, and technical terminology.

Users often misunderstood the fields, selected the wrong department, or abandoned the form entirely.

The goal was to redesign the experience for clarity and guidance — not to make it easier, but to make it more precise, structured, and mistake-proof

The goal and the challenges

Problem

A confusing, complex form with unclear terms and too many options

Opportunity

Guide users clearly so inquiries reach the right department without mistakes

My Approach

My Approach

To improve a complex, multi-path public form, I focused on structure, clarity, and smart guidance.

The original form was not intuitive — users were often unsure how to proceed or where their request would end up.

My goal was to redesign the experience to feel structured and guided, helping users complete it correctly, without guessing.

Key Design Priorities

  • Grouped fields by logic, not layout

  • Rewrote field labels for clarity

  • Added inline guidance to reduce mistakes

  • Simplified conditional paths

  • Improved hierarchy without oversimplifying

To address the needs of field technicians unfamiliar with digital tools, I focused on creating an interface that feels simple, familiar, and friction-free.

I treated the original paper form as a blueprint, carefully mapping its structure and identifying areas where the digital version could improve clarity and speed without overwhelming the user.

The goal was to strike a balance between functionality, efficiency, and ease of use in real-world field conditions

Key Design Priorities

• Keep the layout linear and easy to follow

• Use large, readable form fields

• Minimize the number of clicks or screens

• Maintain visual similarity to the original paper form

• Add real-time validation and smart defaults where possible

• Ensure full mobile responsiveness

The Result

The new form helped users navigate more confidently and avoid misdirected requests.

Field labels were clearer, guidance was built-in, and users were more likely to complete the form correctly.

This led to fewer support follow-ups and faster handling of public inquiries.

The goal and the challenges

One of the biggest challenges was designing for a user group not accustomed to digital tools. The technicians had used pen and paper for years, and many were less familiar with new technologies. We anticipated resistance to change and knew the interface had to feel intuitive, fast, and familiar — almost like the paper form they knew, but enhanced with clarity, efficiency, and smart validation. The goal was to support users who value speed and practicality, without overwhelming them with unnecessary complexity.
